Dr Dic Lo is Reader in Economics at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, UK. His areas of interests are China and globalization, Soviet-type economic systems and their transformation, East Asian economic institutions and development, and comparative political economy. He is the author of many journal articles and three books, Alternatives to Neoliberal Globalization: Studies in the Political Economy of Institutions and Late Development (Palgrave Macmillan, 2012), China’s Transformational Growth: A Structural-Institutional Analysis (in Chinese, Economic Science Press, 2001) and Market and Institutional Regulation in Chinese Industrialisation, 1978-1994 (Macmillan, 1997). He is a member of the editorial board of Journal of Post Keynesian Economics, and is associate editor of the Chinese quarterly journal China Review of Political Economy.
