Mike Clark is Founder Director of Ario Advisory, a responsible investment advisory firm, that works with asset owners, regulators, investment managers, NGOs and more. A large proportion of Ario Advisory’s work seeks to assist the finance sector support the real economy. Mark is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and represents the IFoA on the global Advisory Council to the Sustainable Finance Programme at Oxford’s Smith School.
Previously, Mike has sat on the WHEB Asset Management independent Investment Advisory Committee, was a Non-Executive Director at Brunel, a Specialist Adviser to the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee for their 2018 Green Finance inquiry, and was a member of the Resource & Environment Research and Continuing Professional Development (R&E RCPD) Sub-committee. Mike’s recent work includes co-convening the Real World Climate Scenarios (RWCS) initiative which challenges the technical adequacy of publicly available climate reference scenarios.
