Sergi Lanau is an Economist at the International Monetary Fund, where he currently works on Italy and San Marino. Prior to that, he worked in the Emerging Markets Division in the Strategy, Policy, and Review Department of the IMF. From 2008 to 2010, he worked in the International Finance Division at the Bank of England. He earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2008. His research is in the areas of international finance and firm productivity.
