Prof Alessandro Vercelli

Prof Alessandro Vercelli is Professor of Political Economy at the University of Siena, Italy. He is Professorial Research Associate of the Department of Economics, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and life member of the Clare Hall, Cambridge. He has been Vice President of the International Economic Association and member of the Executive Committee of the Italian Economic Association. He obtained a Fulbright-SSRC AWARD (1982) and was winner of the St. Vincent Prize (1988) and the Casentino Prize (2011). He has been Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Queen Mary, University of London (2005), British Council Senior Visiting Fellow, St Antony’s College, Oxford (1996), and visiting scholar in many Academic Institutions. He is author and editor of several books and articles in the field of economic policy and macroeconomics. He has co-edited different books including Environment, Inequality and Collective Action (Routledge, 2006); and Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011). In the same field he has published many articles in international journals.
