Emilio Carnevali

Emilio Carnevali is currently an analyst at the Department for Work and Pensions (UK Government) and a PhD student at the University of Leeds. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics (University of Leeds), an M.A. (Laurea Specialistica) in Philosophy (University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’), a B.Sc. (Laurea) in Economics (University of ‘Roma Tre’) and a B.A. (Laurea) in Philosophy, University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’. Emilio Carnevali has worked for several years as a journalist and editor for the Italian philosophical and political magazine MicroMega. He is the author of the books ‘Liberista sarà lei! L’imbroglio del liberismo di sinistra’ (‘On the Fraud of Leftwing Economic Neoliberalism’), co-authored with P. Pellizzetti, Turin: Codice Edizioni, 2010) and ‘In Difesa di Barack Obama’ (‘In Defense of Barack Obama’, Rome: Gli e-book di MicroMega, 2012). Emilio Carnevali’s main research interests are monetary economics, fiscal policies, international economics and history of economic and political thought.
